I have spent 20 years at the bedside caring for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, stoke survivers, various neuromuscular disorders, as well as dementia.
I founded Accessible Suites in 2017, focusing on handicap-accessible properties and Universal Design education. I have provided handicap accessible housing for more than 40 families and understand how to connect functional abilites with needed modifications.
My mission is to leverage my experience to address the looming housing crisis and increase the awareness of the need for accessible living solutions.

MODIFICATIONS
After these evaluations, we will provide a roadmap for modifications, allowing you and your family to plan and implement changes at a pace that suits your circumstances. You will receive specifications that you can hand over over to the contractor of your choice or we can do the work for you. We are also happy to work with your contractor to be sure you get exactly what you expect.

I'm getting around fine. Do I even need these evaluations?
This evaluation is a preventive measure to ensure safety and comfort. Our goal is to help maintain your current lifestyle and independence by identifying simple adjustments that can prevent future issues. It is best to build the plan before you need it so you can be sure to make you can make your own decisions and live your life on your terms.
How long will these evaluations take?
The in-home evaluation typically takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the size of the home and your specific needs. After the initial visit, we will need some additional time to compile our findings and prepare a comprehensive report, which we will discuss with you in a follow-up meeting.
** If you do not complete your questionaires before your appointment, additional time may be needed.
How much does this all cost, and can I expect any additional fees?
Overall, the cost will vary depending on your needs and the level of service you desire.
The evaluation package, consisting of a client assessment, home evaluation, safety inspection, modification recommendations, your detailed report, and a follow-up consultation to discuss your results will cost $750.
If there are additional services recommended, we will provide a clear breakdown of any additional costs, which will be based on your needs.
Are your services covered by Insurance or Medicare?
Some home modifications may be covered by insurance or Medicare, depending on the specific policy and medical necessity. We can assist you in navigating the process and provide documentation to support your claims.
Will my information be kept confidential?
Absolutely. We take your privacy very seriously. All the information you share with us, as well as our findings, are kept strictly confidential. We adhere to all relevant privacy laws and regulations, and only share information with your written consent or as required by law.
Who will be conducting the evaluation?
Our team members consist of credentialed professionals, including Certified Life Care Planners, Certified Aging-In-Place specialists, Healthcare Professionals, and Accessibility Experts. Our team members are trained to assess various aspects of your home and well-being with compassion and expertise.
What types of modifications do you offer?
We offer a wide range of modifications that based on Universal Design concepts but can customize anything to meet the specific needs of our clients. We can even build from the ground up if you would like.
How much do home modifications typically cost?
The cost of home modifications varies depending on the specific needs and scope of the project. We can provide customized quotes after conducting a thorough home evaluation. There is also a possibility that modifications can be made over time as needs change.
How long does it take to complete a home modification project?
The timeline for home modifications depends on the extent of the work required. We provide an estimated timeline after the initial evaluation and work diligently to complete projects promptly and efficiently.

Do you offer virtual consultations?
Our initial consultation will always be virtual and we can also conduct our follow up virtually if needed. We do not do detailed personal or home evaluations virtually.
